Abstract

Since establishment of the River and Harbor Hydraulic Laboratory at the University of California at Berkeley, approximately ten years ago, numerous model studies have been made in connection with a variety of engineering problems. Many of the data obtained in the various model studies have not been published previously. Since many of the results may be of interest to other investigators, both because of general principles of application as well as the limitations of the models, a few of the more important investigations are described briefly.
