Abstract
This paper presents a simulation analysis of the switching characteristics of a thermal control superconducting switch used in high overload electromagnetic suspension trains. A two-dimensional axisymmetric model was established using superconducting tape encapsulated in non-copper-plated stainless steel. Simulation analysis of thermal control switch heating and quenching was performed in the absence of an external magnetic field. The simulation results show that the switching resistance is 4.
