Abstract

In this paper, based on the spatial structure and working principle of permanent magnet toroidal motor, the mathematical model of permanent magnet toroidal motor in two-phase synchronous rotating coordinate system is deduced. Aiming at nonlinear and time-varying characteristics of inductance and flux linkage in permanent magnet toroidal motor, the finite-control-set model predictive current control system for permanent magnet toroidal motor is constructed, and the speed, torque and current response of control system are simulated. The simulation results show that toroidal motor with predictive control system has superior dynamic performance, good current tracking effect and better anti-interference ability. The research results offer theoretical guidance for the follow-up study on intelligent control strategy for permanent magnet toroidal motor.
