Abstract

The magnitude of common mode (CM) voltage is an important indicator to measure the strength of electromagnetic interference (EMI). Model predictive control (MPC) receives significant attention for voltage source inverters (VSIs) with output LC filter in aircraft actuation applications. However, conventional MPC brings massive CM voltage. This paper proposes an improved MPC method with delay compensation for a three-phase inverter with LC output filter, considering the reduction of CM EMI. The proposed method avoids the use of zero voltage vectors, and optimizes the vector selection of the next period. Simulation results indicate that this method performs well in terms of output current and eliminates CM voltage.
