Abstract

This paper presents the design and evaluation of a model predictive control (MPC) strategy established at a supervisory level. The control strategy implementation was done with a dynamic simulator of an integrated solar combined cycle plant. The purpose of the strategy is to regulate the steam pressure of the superheater of the Integrated Solar Combined Cycle (ISCC) plant. The supervisory control strategy allows the reduction in fuel consumption of an integrated solar combined cycle plant.
