Abstract
This paper presents a Model Predictive Control-based Energy Management System for compliance with the day-ahead power dispatching plan of a hybrid power plant connected to the Guadeloupe Island electrical grid. The hybrid power plant combines a wind farm and a Li-ION battery energy storage system. The proposed EMS handles several operation rules, in order to solve the optimization problem while considering the production forecasting data as well as the battery lifespan. A simulation study is implemented via PowerFactory and Matlab.
