Abstract

As for newtonian and non-newtonian homogeneous media, the electrochemical impedance in blood medium is analysed by a charge-transfer resistance and by a diffusion impedance. These two quantities are modified by the presence of shaped cells which interact one with another and with the wall creating, in the direct neighbourhood of the interface, structures modifying the exchanges. We put forward a positive correlation between the flux of matter and the physicochemical parameters studied (rotation speed of disc electrode ω, potential U, and temperature of the medium T). This increase of matter flux is due to the modification of the exchange area, as well as to variation of the diffusion coefficient.
