Abstract
The paper [1] presents a new model of erosive destruction of materials associated with the formation of high - frequency micro - spirals in the studied materials under the action of cavitation. In the focused channels along the axis of the spirals, significant energy is released that can cause the destruction of the materials under study. Spiral structures are sources of microcracks formed along focused channels. Parts and assemblies of hydraulic units are in a complex stressed state (internal pressure, vibrations, tension of pins). Under the influence of these stresses, microcracks open, which leads to the destruction of the fastening pins.
