Abstract

In the field of hydroinformatics systems, diversity of models has been a big obstacle for model integration during software development. Given the complexity and uncertainty during decision-making process in flood management, which may involves with multiple models, traditional data-driven method no longer fits for system establishment. Therefore, we apply the model-driven architecture (MDA) for hydroinformatics software design. A GIS (Geographic Information System) -based decision support system(DSS) for flood management is developed base on MDA. This DSS is driven by two-dimension hydrodynamic model for flood simulation, and the evacuation model for emergency evacuation planning in the eventuality of flood. With the coupling work of these two models, decision-maker can acquire auxiliary information about flood routing and evacuation scheme.
