Abstract

In the field of modern agricultural production, increasing the productivity and quality of machine harvesting, including the completeness of cotton harvesting, clogging, seed damage, and reducing power consumption are important. In this regard, the article provides performance calculation and comparative analysis of serial and vertical-spindle cotton harvesters with epi- and hypo-cyclic spindle units. A mathematical model was developed, on the basis of which the productivity of a cotton harvester was determined depending on its speed and the completeness of the cotton harvest. Theoretical studies were conducted based on classical methods for modeling processes in a harvester using a modern MathCAD 15 computing software environment.
