Model-based online optimisation in simulation and on the engine test bench

Abstract

This article describes the extensions to the model-based optimisation algorithm “mbminimize”, which was developed jointly by the University of Tubingen and the BMW Group for the online optimisation of internal combustion engines. This article focuses mainly on the modularisation of the optimisation methods and their implementation in practical test bench operation.
