Abstract

A set of kinetic equations for a superconductor aboveT c is derived using Kawasaki's formulation of mode-mode coupling theory. From these equations the conductivity is calculated in various temperature ranges. Far away from the transition the Aslamasov-Larkin conductivity is rederived and modifications of this result are obtained in all physical dimensions. These modifications become important if the critical region is approached. The conductivity inside the critical region is investigated assuming that static scaling for the equal time correlation function of the order parameter is valid.
