Abstract

This work demonstrates a flexible piezoelectric pulse sensing system combined with the mode energy ratio (MER) analysis in order to detect human pulses and reveal pregnant conditions. According to the pulse diagnosis principle of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), the flexible piezoelectric sensor is used to realize digital and intelligent pulse acquisition. And the algorithm of MER based on empirical mode decomposition (EMD) is proposed to describe energy distribution of pulses in different pregnancy status. The experiment results of 83 female volunteers' MER analysis indicate that the identification and warning of pregnancy status and physical health indicators are realized.
