Abstract
Abstract Gold-bearing quartz veins from the El Callao district (Guyana Shield, Venezuela) are filled with several comb quartz generations. Their formation results from successive opening and filling stages during which low salinity mineralized fluids composed by CO2–H2O–salt–(±CH4) were trapped.
