Abstract

Abstract In order to improve the dynamic performance of the tripod-ball type universal coupling composite transmission shaft system, ANSYS Workbench modal analysis is carried out. By modal analysis of the transmission shaft system, the vibration characteristics of the coupling have been obtained, which can avoid its natural frequency in practical situations. The figures for the first ten modes have been obtained. The results indicate that the areas with the greatest deformation are on the intermediate shaft, bell housing, and trident sleeve. This provides a theoretical basis for further research on the transmission shaft system.
