Abstract

SynopsisMobilities of Li+- (2-butanol)n (n = 1-2) ions in helium gas have been measured at 83 K and room temperature using a low temperature drift tube. The experimental mobilities are significantly smaller than the polarization limit values within the measured effective temperature range. Using the 12-6-4 potential, we have performed calculation of the mobilities in frame of the two-temperature momentum transfer theory. The agreement between the experimental and calculated mobilities is fairly good.
