Abstract
This article presents empirical research about knowledge sharing in Information Technology (IT) governance. Knowledge has long been recognised as a valuable resource for organisational growth and sustaining competitive advantage. The effect of knowledge sharing on the IT organisation's governance capability, effectiveness and efficiency, and the effect of IT governance on the mobilisation of strategic IT resources have been evaluated. A survey was conducted in Norway to collect data on knowledge sharing and IT governance. Research results indicate that knowledge sharing has a positive effect on IT governance and that IT governance is significantly related to the mobilisation of strategic IT resources.
