Abstract
This paper deals with describing an e-service driven SPC model for the closed-loop quality control in a machining process. Digital calipers are used to sample the real-time measuring data and linked to the above SPC prototype service module. Wireless Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), as client-side support, are used to run the SPC service module and to realise the on-site Quality Control management. In addition, both the correlative analysis of signals and the fault trees construction according to potential quality goal parameters play a very important role in searching the certain fault sources to influence the quality goal parameters. In order to verify the method and technology proposed in this paper, a running example is also given.
