Abstract

Cloud computing has made a great impression in the Information Technology (IT) sector. Cloud computing is usually offered by a third party service provider which offers computing services over the network essentially the internet on a prepaid basis. It offers many benefits such as flexibility, scalability and cost efficiency. Public cloud computing embodies a substantial change from the conventional norms of an organisational data centre. This survey paper discusses public cloud computing, mobile computing concepts and challenges they face. The survey enabled us to propose Mobile Public Cloud Computing, a concept that combines mobile computing and public cloud computing in order to offer maximum benefits to its users.
