Abstract

Mobile learning has become a new learning approach introduced in the Malaysian education system. Mobile learning is a learning approach that adopts mobile devices as tools in teaching and learning processes. This study was conducted based on two objectives. The first objective was to identify the factors that influence the adoption of mobile learning by using STEEPV analysis. The second objective was to determine the level of mobile learning adoption in a public university in Malaysia. The sample of this research was 369 of undergraduate students in a public university. They were from eight different faculties. The data was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 22. Based on the STEEPV analysis, technological factor has become the main factor for mobile learning adoption. The result of this research indicates that the level of mobile learning adoption among students in the respective university was high. Despite such result, the internet coverage and speed was found as the main hindrance factor of the adoption of mobile learning.
