Abstract

AbstractSearching for biomass‐derived electrocatalyst with high activity and durability for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) at all pH range is extremely desirable but remains a significant challenge. Mo2C and its nanocomposites have been controlly synthesized by pyrolyzing the mixture of molybdenum salt and egg white (EW) that served as low‐cost but environmental‐friendly carbon source. When utilized as hydrogen evolution cathode, Mo2C and its nanocomposites exhibit excellent electrocatalytic activity and stability in acidic, neutral and alkaline mediums.
