Abstract
Confocal laser endomicroscopy allows in-vivo diagnosis of dysplasia in Barrett's Esophagus (BE). The endoscope based (eCLE) system is capable of imaging at variable depths though with a slower image acquisition rate compared with the probe based (pCLE) system that visualizes at a fixed depth. We recently determined that the diagnostic yield for eCLE depth imaging using stacks is higher than for single-surface plane images. We compare the diagnostic yield of eCLE stacks versus pCLE videos in the evaluation of BE associated dysplasia.
