Abstract

The endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) diagnosis of chronic pancreatitis (CP) has historically been based on 9 equally weighted conventional criteria (CC) with > 3-5 required for the diagnosis of CP (table 1). In 2007 the Rosemont criteria (RC) with weighted criteria were proposed (table 1,2). The two systems have not been directly compared in the same patients to understand their impact on the EUS diagnosis of CP.
