Abstract

Fascioliasis is an hepatobiliary tract infection caused by the liver fluke, Fasciola hepatica and Fasciola gigantica which has been increased worldwide in the last decade. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) can demonstrate distinct features in some patients with fascioliasis, but this condition may be overlooked in many cases. The aim of this study was to present and characterize the ERCP findings and patterns that might have diagnostic clues in patients with hepatobiliary fascioliasis.
