Abstract

Neoadjuvant chemradiotherapy (NACRT) may facilitate successful margin-negative resection (R0) in patients with locally advanced pancreatic head cancer (LAPHC). NACRT with insertion of a metallic biliary stent (MBS) has been attempted in patients with LAPHC, however, the efficacy of this therapeutic strategy, with/without insertion of a metallic duodenal stent (MDS), and the influence of using self-expanding metal stents (SEMS) in the treatment of LAPHC have not been evaluated yet.
