Abstract

remained significant predictors of clinical response (OR 5.4, 95% CI 1.2-24 p 0.028; OR 7.7, 95% CI 1.8-31.3 p 0.005, respectively). Conclusions: The SOD scintigraphic score is not an adequate screening test for biliary SOD because of its poor sensitivity for abnormal biliary manometry. However, an abnormal SOD score 6 is a good predictor of clinical response to endoscopic therapy for patients with SOD type III. Predictors of response to therapy include elevated basal pressure and SOD type.
