Abstract

Prior data have suggested that practice variation exists in the utilization of same day upper and lower endoscopy compared to separate day procedures, which we hypothesize is due to differences in reimbursement. The aim of this study is to examine trends and utilization across various practice types of same day endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) compared with EUS performed on a separate day within 1-14 days of ERCP.
