Abstract

The dielectric and piezoelectric properties of 0.36Pb(<TEX>$Sc_{1/2}Nb_{1/2}$</TEX>)<TEX>$O_{3}$</TEX>-0.25Pb(<TEX>$Ni_{1/3}Nb_{2/3}$</TEX>)<TEX>$O_{3}$</TEX>-0.39Pb<TEX>$TiO_{3}$</TEX> (hereafter PSNNT) at the morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) composition were investigated with <TEX>$0{\sim}2.5$</TEX> mot% <TEX>$MnO_{2}$</TEX> doping. Bulk density, dielectric loss and tetragonality of crystal structure were all improved with increasing <TEX>$MnO_{2}$</TEX> additive content. With increasing <TEX>$MnO_{2}$</TEX> additive content, the electromechanical coupling factor and quality factor were also increased: Electromechanical coupling <TEX>$k_{p}$</TEX> and quality factor <TEX>$Q_{m}$</TEX> at 2.0 mol% <TEX>$MnO_{2}$</TEX> doping with were showed highest values of 55.6 % and 252, respectively.
