Abstract

Grinding is a controversial issue in MMORPGs and many players dislike it. In order to better improve the Grinding mechanics, we need to describe the Grinding player experience through multiple aspects. The research convergence researches the content of theoretical investigations such as game experience and player experience, and then combined with the content of the focus group interview method, 10 factors and 43 questionnaire items of Grinding Player Experience (GPE) were developed, and finally the GPE scale was made.
