Abstract
Odontogenic myxoma is a rare benign neoplasia, with slow gro- wth, asymptomatic, locally invasi- ve and of mesenchymal origin. It may occur at any age and has no apparent sex predilection. Radio- graphically, it appears as a radio- lucent uni or multilocular lesion, with well-defined margins and thin bony septa. In most cases, it causes tooth displacement and bone expansion. The authors re- port a case whose clinical and ra- diographic aspects were not typical to the lesion and thus not allowing diagnosis, emphasizing the impor- tance of histopathological exami- nation for a definite diagnosis.
