Abstract
An analysis is given of the process of mixing and heat treatment of solid and gas phases in a fluidized bed, which is being used successfully in mechanical engineering and chemical, oil refining, mining, power engineering, and other industries, for the purpose of mixing various ingredients of mixed animal feeds, including therapeutic and thermolabile. A centrifugal paddle mixer was developed, which passed state tests and is being used successfully in agricultural production. The uniformity of mixing is 0.95–0.98 (95–98%), which meets the requirement of the Sate Standard GOST for the production of mixed and therapeutic feeds. The mixer is easy to maintain and operates reliably.
