Abstract

Acoustic reverberation chamber (RC) is a good facility to create reverb effect in music mixing. This paper presents the use of an electromagnetic (EM) RC to generate acoustic reverb effects. Different to an acoustic RC, stirrers are often used in an EM RC. Thus, it is easy to generate many chamber transfer functions with similar statistical characteristics; also the measured chamber transfer function can be post-processed to realize a complex reverb environment. Measurements are performed to demonstrate the results.
