Mixed Traffic Mode Based Travel Route Recommendation

Abstract

Travel route recommendation is an important part of the field of intelligent transportation, which can provide the guidance of travel mode and travel route for travelers. However, the current travel route recommendation methods are single mode, which make the traveler choose only one kind of traffic mode when traveling. And because of the complexity of urban transport modes, such a single traffic plan recommendation often fails to meet the expected requirements. In order to solve the limitation of the single vehicle travel method, we propose a travel route recommendation method which includes three modes of transportation, including rental, subway, and walking. By constructing a travel route recommendation model in mixed traffic model, the problem of route recommendation is transformed into a shortest path problem in the travel route map, and we can get the travel route according to the shortest path. According to this route recommendation method, we have created an APP to recommend routes for travelers, and considering the traveler's requirements for travel time and travel expenses are various, we can recommend a most suitable route according to travelers' preference for time or cost.
