Abstract

Some new mixed tetrahalocobaltates(II of the general formula A2[CoX 2Y 2 where A = (C 2H 5 4N 4 and X and Y = Cl, Br, I, have been isolated and characterized by their chemical analyses, far i.r. spectra, magnetic moments and X-ray powder diffractograms. In all the complexes, Co(II has been found to be tetrahedrally surrounded by halogens.
