Abstract

The single-crystal Ni2P hollow spheres have been synthesized via a solvothermal route in presence of mixed surfactant. It is showed that solvent played a significant role for the synthesis of Ni2P. Furthermore, the structure of hollow spheres would be obtained only using the mixtures of cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) and sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS) which act as soft template rather than single CTAB or pure SDBS. Finally, it turned out that the single-crystal Ni2P hollow spheres exhibit excellent adsorption activity for malachite green (MG) organic dyes.
