Abstract

Large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (LCNEC) of the ovary is an uncommon gynaecological malignancy with an aggressive clinical course.1 In most instances ovarian LCNEC is associated with a surface epithelial tumour or mature cystic teratoma.2 Mixed LCNEC and high grade serous carcinoma (HGSC) is an exceedingly rare subentity, with only a handful of cases identified in the literature.1 We report a case of a 56-year-old female who presented with a four week history of postmenopausal bleeding and mild abdominal distension.
