Abstract
A treatment is presented of the mixed convection boundary layer about an isothermal circular cylinder embedded in an unheated wedge of induced angle m(pi) and in a fluid-saturated porous medium. This is held to be a more realistic model of geological formations than a sharp-edge configuration. Nusselt number results are presented over a wide range of values of the buoyancy-force parameter, as well as for various wedge angles. 7 refs.
