Abstract

A new method is proposed to evaluate the combination property of ultra-high-rise pumping concrete for mix optimization. The weights of workability, strength and durability in regard to the concrete mix design are computed by the method of variation coefficient. Then, the aspects are unified into one dimensionless parameter named efficacy coefficient, and the performance of concrete is evaluated based on the value of the efficacy coefficient. The results of orthogonal experiments show that: the combination property of concrete can be evaluated successfully with the efficacy coefficient method. The results of optimization meet the requirements of engineering. This method is appropriate for mix optimization of ultra-high-rise pumping concrete.
