The PMS contains a mixture of volatile hydrocarbons and this makes it readily available in the atmosphere anytime it is dispensed [3]

Environmental pollution occurs as a result of human activities and natural forces such as consumption of solid fuels for cooking, heating, cigarette smoking, incinerators, waste disposals, increasing industrialization, motor vehicles, natural disasters, forest and agricultural fires [1]. Petrol known as Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) is distilled from crude petroleum, and vapour obtained from its evaporation may be considered as petrol fumes. Inhalation is the most common form of exposure. Exposure to PMS is common, the mitigating effect of coconut oil and its water as a substitute for modern day treatment of the effects of PMS inhalation is limited. This research aims to find out the mitigating effects that coconut oil and its water have on the damage caused d by PMS inhalation
