Abstract
Le misure di austerità messe in campo da molti paesi europei a seguitodella ben nota crisi economica del 2008 sono state, negli ultimianni, non solo oggetto di critica politica, ma anche sottoposte allo scrutiniodella Corte europea dei diritti dell’uomo (Corte EDU) per violazionedei diritti fondamentali dell’individuo. In particolare, in più diun’occasione, i giudici di Strasburgo sono stati chiamati a giudicare lacompatibilità di tali restrizioni con i diritti sanciti all’interno della Convenzioneeuropea dei diritti dell’uomo (CEDU)1.
