Abstract

Women empowerment through Self-Help Groups has emerged as a potent force for fostering socio- economic development worldwide. SHGs serve as a platform for women to come together, pool resources, and engage in collective decision making, thereby enhancing their socio-economic status and agency. Through SHGs, women gain access to financial services, acquire entrepreneurial skills, and develop a supportive network, enabling them to break the cycle of poverty and marginalization.
