Social innovation stands as a pivotal component in the implementation of the Third Mission. Universities worldwide are actively seeking pathways to innovate throughout the realm of all three missions, while keeping them in harmony. In this article, we delve into the various models of social innovation development within universities that can be currently identified. We will explore the criteria that set these models apart, presenting the author’s classification, which is derived from a comprehensive synthesis of existing experiences.
