Abstract

A novel method for missing image data estimation is presented in this paper. The proposed method realizes accurate estimation of missing image data by iterating dictionary learning and Convolutional Sparse Coding (CSC). Specifically, our method iterates estimation of missing image data via CSC by using a dictionary that is constructed from a target image, and reconstruction of the dictionary by using the obtained estimation results. As the main contribution of our paper, the proposed method enables the missing image data estimation by using more suitable dictionaries obtained by this iterative scheme. Experimental results show high missing image data estimation performance by the proposed method.
