Abstract

This paper presents sources of discrepancy between ‘hot’ ( ε h) and ‘cold’ ( з c ) effectiveness of a diabatic regenerator. The regenerator wall finite conductivity model is used to derive the difference in ε h and ε c. A need for experimental measurement of average external insulation surface temperatures in both periods is stressed.
