Abstract
President Charlotte Eberlein called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. on February 9. Board members attending were Barry Brecke, Doug Buhler, Tim Dutt, Mike Foley, Kent Harrison, Jerry Ivany, Joyce Lancaster, Al Hamill, Brad Majek, Carol Mallory-Smith, Steve Miller, Dick Oliver, Dale Shaner, David Shaw, Horace Skipper, and Laura Whatley. Rob Hedberg, WSSA Director of Science Policy, and Leslie Weston, Director of Education, were also present, along with incoming NCWSS representative Jamie Retzinger and Vice-President-Elect Donn Thill. Also attending portions of the Board meeting were Ernest Delfosse of USDA-ARS; Albert Fisher, IWSS Committee Chair; Steve Duke; Dallas Peterson, NCWSS President-Elect; Jeff Derr, NEWSS PastPresident; Tom Lanini, Local Arrangements Chair; Rhonda Green, Business Manager; and Janis McFarland, Strategic Planning Committee Chair.
