Ministers of Mercy and Compassion: Bringing Healing and Hope to the World—A Call for a New Ministry for Religious Communities

Abstract

Abstract: Many in today’s society have seen the many forms of abuse of God’s children and how inaction has enabled the continuance of this moral catastrophe. The Catholic Church has acknowledged this crisis, most notably by Pope Francis. Such responses engender the hope that Church leadership, perhaps together with religious communities, will continue to implement new models for healing and hope to protect human dignity of God’s most vulnerable. This presentation presents a new ministry where new pathways can bring healing and hope to a suffering world.
