Abstract

A discrete minimum time control problem characterized by nonlinear model with linear control. state and control delays, slowly varying parameters, state and control constraints is solved. To overcome the difficulty with the slowly variation of the parameters the regarded problem is formulated by giving an account of requirements for low state trajectory sensitivity to them. An extended problem is formulated. Decomposition method based on an augmented Lagrange's functional is proposed to solve the extended problem. The problem for minimizing a start-up time of continuous fermentation processes is considered and solved. The calculations are carried out for the model of Saccharomyces cerevisiae process.
