Abstract

We consider herein developing the distortionless adaptive beamformer for the reception of a second-order non-circular signal of interest (SOI) equipped with a massive polarized antenna array endowed with the property of multilinear translation invariance. We formulate the constrained Gaussian entropy minimization of the tensorial beamformer output, subject to the distortionless constraint of the SOI. We develop a minimum Gaussian entropy distortionless response based tensorial stochastic gradient beamforming (MEDR-TSG) algorithm. We also show sufficient conditions for the convergence and analyze the computational complexity of the proposed algorithm. Illustrative simulations validate the superior beamforming performance of the MEDR-TSG for massive polarized antenna arrays.
