Abstract
The minimum energy required for the release of a grain from the ear is defined, and a method for its determination is described. The value of the minimum energy required for the release of 1 kg of grain for wheat and rye is estimated. The concept of ideal threshing and the quantity of energetic efficiency of threshing are proposed.
