Abstract

The presented criterion of mvnimizing expected Losses lakes it possible to consider a set of permisible objects in view of limitations imposed by available funds, and to select objects whose effects in relation to the forecasted demands will bring about the lowest values of the expected losses. The criterion simultaneously takes into account many tasks of the water economy, such as water supply, protection of river water quality, flood protection, etc. The losses resulting from the accomplishment of various goals by the objects are proposed to be assesed using the disutility function. The algorithm results are represented by the examples from the Wisloka river basin.
